Almost a year after moving out, I got myself a desk (/ battlestation)

Actually this was a couple of weeks ago, but I've been busy and only got to writing now. It's been almost a year since I moved out of my parents house and started renting my own place. After seeing some very nice things on the /r/battlestations subreddit, I finally got my ass to Ikea to get myself a cheap and clean desk with a chair. After that, my old build got a little surprise upgrade as well.

As I said, it's an old build that I made when I was 17 - 18 years old, which is by now 6 years ago. But it still does a fine job for the little gaming I do and some video/image editing. And besides that, it also serves as an excellent desktop computer for day to day tasks.

I wanted a clean desk and a big screen for video editing and multi tasking that fitted into my interior. So I gave my old build a small upgrade with a new 2K monitor, a nice and clean white case, some extra fans and fast wifi networking card (since I don't have any longer a cable that runs to my desk).

As you might have noticed, the rubber rings of the speakers look brown-ish (while they used to look gray). That's because they're quite old and the rubber is slowly dying. Yet, they still deliver, every day! Other than that I think I'm quite happy with the result. It looks good, works good for day to day tasks and is still capable of playing some of my all time favorite games.
